Used Urethane Bowling Balls

Used urethane bowling balls just might make you a better bowler. Despite the fact that urethane is an older technology in bowling equipment it is making a comeback these days.

Used Urethane Bowling Balls

A used urethane bowling ball is surprisingly similar in reaction to a new urethane bowling ball.  Asuming your used ball is still in decent condition it should react to changing oil patterns on the lane just like new.

If you decide to buy a used urethane bowling ball just make sure you doon't pay too much because new bowling balls made from urethane are not that expensive.  Used balls will of course have to be redrilled to fit your hands and fingers so keep this cost in mind too when deciding on a fair price for a quality used bowling ball.

Another factor to consider in the used urethane bowling ball market is the condition of the ball.  Not just the visual appearance but the physical condition of the urethane coverstock.  Urethane by nature won't react much to dry parts of a bowling lane but it will hook even less if the ball is shined.  If you are buying used urethane bowling balls to save on money then make sure you have your proshop professional scuff your bowling ball up in a bowling ball sander to make sure it will have enough friction on the lane to hook.

Unless you are a seasoned professional you may need all the help you can get to hook a urethane bowling ball wth any significance.  Good luck!
